Wheel build service – £40 for one wheel
If you want to build wheel or pair of wheels with brand new parts.
If you have your own components to build wheels from, you can come in and drop parts off or you can post them to me and I get wheel/s built for you.
-
Wheel rebuild service – £50 for one wheel
If you have you own wheels where rims are worn (most common scenario) or sometimes hubs need replacing for new ones I’m happy to rebuild wheels for you.
I’ve done lots of rebuild services on very nice classic wheels where rims needed replacing but hubs were stil in great condition or vice versa(classic Campag or Dura Ace). I did many ZIPP wheel rebuilds with new hubs, rims fitted or conversions done to 11 speed.
Feel free to contact me so I can see if I can get you new classic rims replacements or classic looking hubs if they are needed.
In these situations new spokes need to be fitted as well.
-
Hub service – standard hub (not Chris King) front £25 and £35 for rear hub
I can service any modern hubs with cartridge bearings and also classic ball bearings/cone based hubs (Campagnolo, Dura Ace).
-
Hub service – Chris King, front hub £35 and £50 for rear hub
It takes much more time to complete service because of the unique and pretty specific design of internal parts and bearings inside their hubs. Additionaly they require their own specific and expensive tools to dissasemble and reassemble hub, service is more expensive then standard hub.
I recommend hub service done at least once in 6 months time or more often (some racing wheels require hubs serviced more often) all depends on weather and mileage you do.

Bike restoration service – £200 and up
I did lots of full bike reastorations with new wheels built going together with it.
They were mainly beautiful classic steel, stainles steel or sometimes titanium bikes needed a bit of love. If you own nice classic Eddy Merckx, Colnago or other bike which needs full restoration and wheel build going along with that project feel free to contact me. I’m happy to advise you on parts availability and rough cost of whole project.

Tubeless tyre fitting – £30 per wheel (tape included)
I can convert most of rims on the market which are not tubeless ready straight away into tubeless. I’ve done lots of jobs like that using many kits from DT Swiss, Stans, Schwalbe, new Milkit set which is very clever because it allows top up of fluid through their own valves without spraying sealant all over the place. I can also help changing tyres and fluid in existing tubeless set of wheels. If you need that service please contact me via contact page. I’m happy to do it.
How to book one of the services?
Simply contact me via contact page giving as many details as possible about wheel build or repair including photos if you have some, thus I will come back to you with quote or recommendations with regards to all possible components and spare parts needed to complete the service (bearings, freehub bodies etc). With bike restoration situation is slightly different, I preffer to see bike first and possibly have it in the workshop for couple of days to get full inspection done. Once you agree to go ahead with wheel build I start building it. With repair you can pop in to leave wheel/s or parts. You can also post them to me. Turn around for the standard wheel build or repair with all parts needed in stock is 5 to 7 working days. When something is out of stock I will contact you to discuss possible scenario.
I use only high quality bearings and grease/lube for repairs (Shimano bearing grease, DT Swiss rachet grease, Chris King oil etc.)
I have most of the tools to service any hub and fix any wheel.
I like chalanges so if you have unusual hub to fix or build or not common problem to solve please do not hesitate to contact me, I will do my best to help you.
Bike restoration completion time is various from few weeks up to few months depends on build option and avaliability of “new old stock” parts or alternative replacements.
